How it began

Our Story

Like most modern love stories, ours started with a swipe. Very romantic. Very 2020s.

Neither of us was looking for anything serious. Meg, who her friends will tell you is the least romantically expressive person alive, was not in the market for feelings. Greg, meanwhile, was known by everyone who knew him as someone who was never, under any circumstances, going to get married. Not happening. Not a chance.

The algorithm, unbothered by either of their opinions, proceeded anyway.

Just 10 months after matching, Greg was quietly sourcing a ring. 12 months of searching later, he found the perfect one. Romantic? Absolutely. Efficient? We'll leave that one alone.

Somehow, against all odds and prior declarations, here we are.

We can't wait to celebrate with you.

What to Wear

In preparation for this wedding, Meg pulled 30 years of hourly weather data for the 1st and 2nd of May.

The conclusion: we still don't really know. The weather does what it wants. What we do know is that the evenings get cold. We'll have heaters and blankets ready, but bring a wrap or jacket just to be safe.

Wedding Day · 1 May

Black Tie

Women: evening gowns. Go as dramatic as you want. There is genuinely no such thing as outshining the bride, so consider this your signed, notarised permission slip to go completely unhinged with it.

Men: black tie or Barong Tagalog. A general guideline:

If you don't know what a Barong is, stick to black tie.
If you think black tie means wearing an actual black tie, stick to a Barong.

The journey

Getting Here

Good news: Provence is beautiful and absolutely worth the journey. Here are your options.

Marseille Airport

~1 hour drive · easiest

The simplest way in. Hire a car or arrange a transfer and you're at the château in about an hour.

Nice Airport

~2.5 hour drive

A little further, but a gorgeous coastal drive if you fancy making a day of it.

III.

Paris CDG / Orly

Fly + TGV to Avignon · ~3 hrs

Fly into Paris, then take the TGV down to Avignon. Honestly this one sounds like a whole trip on its own and we respect it.

Beds & shuttles

Where to Stay

Explore on Google Maps

We recommend staying in Avignon, beautiful, central, and about 25 minutes from the château.

We'll be running shuttles between Avignon and the venue on both evenings, so you can drink freely, dance badly, and get home in one piece.

There are also lovely options closer to Sarrians and around Provence if you'd rather be in the countryside. Just let us know and we'll sort the shuttle logistics.

No fancy forms, no websites, no QR codes. Just drop us a message on WhatsApp and let us know you're coming.

Please RSVP by 30 September 2026, otherwise we'll assume you can't make it, and someone who really, really wanted a plus-one will be very happy about that.

Your presence is truly, genuinely the gift.

That said, if you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon fund, we are not going to stop you.

Questions

We adore your children. Genuinely. But this one is adults only, think of it as a gift to yourselves.

We want everyone to eat well and have a wonderful time, please just let us know when you RSVP so we can make sure the kitchen has you sorted.

There isn't, and honestly we'd rather you didn't drive anyway. The shuttle exists precisely so that nobody has to make responsible decisions at the end of the night.

Invitations are strictly by name, the château has a guest limit and we've had to be quite ruthless about numbers. If your invite includes a plus one, it'll say so.

Meg. Though she'd like it on record that she was drunk, so it may not count.

Greg. The man who was never getting married wanted the big wedding. We're not taking questions at this time.

Officially: Greg, because he's the romantic one.
Unofficially: Meg doesn't have feelings, except for that one time she said "I love you" first. We'll see.
